Direct connection to abbeydale industrial hamlet. It was a 3-star hotel in every way.

Stayed here as were attending a local wedding. Went for the four poster bed room and for the couple of extra ponds was worth it for the space it offered. The room and hotel were ok but the room was a little tired with cracked girls in the bathroom and a large tube tv. The room was clean along with the rest of the hotel so top marks there. We were disappointed though in the lack of a kitchen for food in the morning but the local Teaco cafe took care of that. Another disappointment was the water persure in the shower. My wife summed it up best by describing it as a weak watering ca experience. Not what you want after a big night out as you wake up refresher. All in a nice place that surved it's purpose 7/10.

There is no internet/wifi facilities or mobile phone reception.Since our visit last year the hotel and the restaurant have been sold seperately and meals in the restaurant are only available at the weekend.and the hotel is only able to provide continental breakfasts in the bedroom. We would not go back all the time this arrangement continues.

Quiet location. Spacious room. Although no view room had a pleasant outlook (grass bank/trees). Next to a nice park and bus routes. Easy access to city and countryside.

It's location close to Sheffield and the Peak District it's friendly staff it's pleasing and relaxed lay-out

Had a good time with friends but the food at Christians and the hotel were very poor

The room was in need of a total refurb. The bathroom was like something from the 50's with bath panel hanging off and the shower wasn't worth having.

The machine at the reception didn't accept my debit card, forcing me to walk for 30 mns to find a cash machine to pay for my stay

We have stayed here previoiusly over the last 6 years, although the hotel still offers much the same facilities we got the impression that the standard had dropped since we first stayed there.The bed was not as comfortable as before. The door knob was loose. We just felt that the standard had dropped somewhat.

The hotel was clean, staff was nice. Free Wifi.

it's quite far from the centre (10GBP taxi ride). There's not really anything close by, the kitchen of the attached restaurant closes at 9pm and there's no breakfast. At least not that i was aware of.

how to find it, when i put the address 161 abbeydale road in sat nav we came to a house in a not very nice part of Sheffield.

No warning that the kitchen was being refurbished so no cooked breakfast. No bar food available after 8pm and restaurant closed as no bookings!!

The friendly and helpful staff

The hotel has just separated from the restaurant that used to be part of it. As a result there is no breakfast room and continental breakfast was offered in the room. I thought that this was poor value and poorly thought out. e.g. we had used the limited in-room tea making supplies when the breakfast arrived and they had not thought to add a couple of tea bags or coffee portions to the breakfast tray. Overall the place has an air of decline and is in serious need of a refresh of most apects.
